Utilizing 12-step philosophies and a therapeutic framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we tailor treatment specifically for each patient understanding that everyone enters the process of recovery with their own unique story and background.
With this in mind, we treat every patient holistically evaluating emotional, physical and spiritual needs continually throughout their stay with us. We also engage our patients in intensive shame resiliency and self-compassion work, skill building groups based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), intensive relapse prevention groups, expressive therapies such as art and gentle yoga, YMCA visits, and weekly outings.
It is very common for those who struggle with substance use to also have a co-occurring mental health condition such as depression, anxiety disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder. An individual therapist is part of each patient’s care team to ensure that any co-occurring mental health issues may also be treated along with the primary addiction.
"Focus and all the staff truly changed my life! They helped me get sober and taught me all the tools that will keep me sober as long as I keep applying them to my daily life! I honestly can't express the gratitude I feel to be living the life I have needed and deserved! Thank you!"- Lorie
