Amber Corbi

Amber Corbi, LPC, M.Ed, NCC, Director of Community Outreach

Amber is a Licensed Professional Counselor and began her career with Focus in 2009  as a primary therapist of the center for eating disorders. She received her master’s degree in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. While at Vanderbilt, her focus was community counseling with a specific concentration in eating disorders and women’s issues. Since completing her degree, Amber has worked at a variety of clinical and administrative settings in which she has been devoted to providing comprehensive and supportive care to people suffering from various forms of disordered eating and addictions.

Committed to providing mental health education and prevention, Amber regularly speaks in our communities and brings passion and purpose into her daily outreach and marketing endeavors. Due to her own recovery from an eating disorder, she shares her understanding for the struggle of living with unhealthy eating while motivating those with addiction and their families toward finding their own path of recovery. Amber is also active in her community as she serves as the clinical advisory coordinator of Manna Fund, a nonprofit funding eating disorder treatment for those with inadequate insurance and funding, as well as being the education chair for Atlanta’s chapter of IAEDP, and serves  on the board of directors for Phoenix House, a supportive living home for women recovering from eating disorders. Amber resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She adores vintage shopping, traveling, painting, and cheering on the Gamecocks, her alma mater, throughout the year.
