Betsy Winchester

Betsy obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. While pursuing her graduate degree, she gained experience in the acute care setting at Tennova Health Cleveland West. There she facilitated  individual and group therapy as well as case management for patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders and mental illness. Betsy was also proud to be a researcher and author for an environmental social work study investigating tornado warning access, understanding, and response among vulnerable groups in Tennessee. Betsy is delighted to be a part of the team at Focus Treatment Center. She serves as a primary counselor for people struggling with addiction and their families. This is her area of passion—helping those who desire to be free from the grips of substance use disorders help themselves and reconnect with their values and goals. Betsy is  a Licensed Masters Social Worker and currently working toward her licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.  Betsy is an avid hiker, biker, and yogi and enjoys exploring her artistic side through singing, writing, and voiceover work.
