Jenny Guy


Jenny Guy, M.S., MHC, Director of Intensive Outpatient Services

Jenny obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Lee University, as well as a Masters of Science, in Mental Health Counseling. While completing graduate coursework, she facilitated individual and family therapy with adults and children, focusing on: stage of life issues, boundary development and parent-child relationship issues. While obtaining her degree, Jenny also participated in preliminary research and education in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) with an emphasis on determining the importance of spirituality in treatment. Jenny has varied work experience at Focus Healthcare of TN-Chattanooga and Focus Healthcare of TN- Knoxville where she has assisted admissions into our multiple programs, worked to advocate for patients with insurance companies and facilitated therapeutic groups on both campuses.

She is currently working as a primary counselor for those struggling with substance use disorders on our Chattanooga campus. Jenny has experience working with individuals and the families of those struggling with substance use disorders as well as multiple forms of disordered eating in a dual diagnosis setting. She is passionate about encouraging patients to identify and foster their own belief in personal value and growth. Jenny is currently pursuing clinical supervision hours to obtain her Licensure in Professional Counseling with Mental Health Service Provider designation and certification to facilitate trauma work. Jenny enjoys the outdoors and self-sustainable living.
