drug and alcohol Treatment
"Focus and all the staff truly changed my life! They helped me get sober and taught me all the tools that will keep me sober as long as I keep applying them to my daily life! I honestly can't express the gratitude I feel to be living the life I have needed and deserved! Thank you!" - Lorie

Detox at Focus
We understand that the idea of detox can bring a lot of uncertainty and fear, particularly around the detoxification process. The average detoxification period lasts between 4 and 10 days but can be longer depending on intensity and substance used. In many instances, we can provide medication support to avoid harsh withdrawal symptoms. In every case, we aim to go above and beyond to keep every individual as comfortable as possible.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
MAT is considered safe, effective, and preferred by most patients. Focus Treatment Centers utilizes MAT in opiate use disorders and sedative use (including alcohol) disorders. Treatment regimens are individualized with the final goal of being drug free after 5 to 14 days (in most patients). Since relapse to opiate drugs can be particularly dangerous, use of an opiate blocker (Naltrexone) is strongly encouraged in early recovery for those at risk. (An example would be a history of IV heroin or overdosing on opiate pain medication.) MAT is supervised by medical staff trained who are board certified in addiction medicine. Common medications used in MAT at Focus Treatment Centers include Buprenorphine (Opioid Detox), Naltrexone/Vivitrol, Wellbutrin, Campral, and Nicotine Replacement Therapies.
